I was inspired by Cuban architecture and the start contrast between spaces of political power and the homes of local people. In this piece, I explore how government and institutional buildings are carefully maintained, while residential buildings are often left to weather.

Through layered textiles, frayed edges and architectural forms I reflect on how architecture reveals social hierarchy and how political priorities become visible in the built environment.
